Abraham Maslowââ¬â¢s Hierarchy of Needs Essay Example for Free
Abraham Maslowââ¬â¢s Hierarchy of Needs Essay Aron Ralstonââ¬â¢s physiological need was to satisfy his hunger, thirst, and a need to love and be loved. His desire was to be a father. This gave him a purpose to live. His will to live became greater than dying. But thirst and hunger overcame him to a point where he was saving and sipping his own urine to stay alive. I also believe that he had a divine appointment as he was shown insight into his reproductive future by the vision he had of a son. He was also shown that he was going to lose his arm when he saw the preschool boy being scooped up by a one armed man. I do not know if Aron believed in God or if he even had a relationship with my Lord and Savior or not, but I do think that his spiritual development should have grown through his journey. Hunger can put us in a life or death situation. After hours of driving alone in an unfamiliar city, you finally see a diner where you can eat. Even though it looks deserted and a little creepy, you end up stopping because you are really hungry. According to Maslow (pg 407) our need to meet the physiological need of hunger and thirst takes priority over our safety needs prompting us to take risk at times in order to eat. The Communist Manifesto Essay -- Communist Manifesto Essays
The Communist Manifesto à à à à à Marx describes the problem in great detail in the first chapter. He feels there is a problem between the bourgeoisie and the proletarians. The bourgeoisie were the oppressed class before the French Revolution and he argues that they are now the oppressors. The proletarians are the new working class, which works in the large factory and industries. He says that through mass industry they have sacrificed everything from the old way of religion, employment, to a manââ¬â¢s self worth and replaced it with monetary value. He is mad that the people of ole that use to be upper class such as skills man, trades people, & shopkeepers, are now slipping into the proletarians or working class. He talks of the bourgeoisie getting to be so greedy that they are forced to nest all over the world to hock their goods. This is talking about the new import and export system that has formed. He says the working class has to deal with the flux of the market and is disposed of more eas ily than the machines used in the market. He says that they actually become part of the machine while working. Doing the simplest and most monotonous part of the job. In this new system Marx says ââ¬Å"as repulsiveness of work increases, the wage of work decreasesâ⬠. He also prophesizes that machines will become so advanced that the wages for man will become one extremely low rate. He says the proletarians live a life of exploitation. By being exploited at work in the w...

Kona coffee Essay
Kona coffee company is one of the largest coffee manufacturers in the state of Hawaii. Their products are made in Hawaii and they have over forty different flavors. Because the coffee beans are grown in Hawaii this is the only place it can be found. High-quality as well as luxurious products. Strong Point â⬠¢Corporate culture â⬠¢Products â⬠¢Political and Legal Environment ââ¬â Great assessment in communicating the need to be aware of not only American export laws, but Japanese import laws as well. â⬠¢Coffee Market ââ¬â Information about the numbers of coffee market was good in showing the increase in coffee consumption. ââ¬â Also how Japan has become the worldââ¬â¢s third largest importer of coffee. â⬠¢SWOT analysis â⬠¢Marketing Objectives â⬠¢Marketing Strategies ââ¬â Excellent target market. â⬠¢Supply chain strategies â⬠¢Implementation Plan 1 2 ââ¬â Researching upscale stores, Partner with a local ad agency, and Promotions such as taste tests are excellent idea. Sampling is the best way to promote a product. â⬠¢Measurement and Control Strategies ââ¬â Surveys are a great way to gain feedback both positive and negative. Weak Points â⬠¢Situation Analysis â⬠¢Markets. â⬠¢Economic Environment ââ¬â Could go more into detail about reasons why expansion would be good in this market. How is Japans economy? â⬠¢Distribution â⬠¢Competitive Environment â⬠¢Promotion Strategies ââ¬â A little bit weak on promotion. The biggest promotion should be social media. Missing Points â⬠¢Situation Analysis could have gone more in depth ââ¬â Main competitors are not mentioned ââ¬â Product distribution missing ââ¬â Environmental factors ââ¬â Core fundamentals such as strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats need to be slightly mentioned â⬠¢Mission statement is missing. ââ¬â Although I did find a cute quote on their web page ââ¬Å"The warmth of the islands in every cupâ⬠. â⬠¢Distribution ââ¬â Could have mentioned how much is distributed to each store ââ¬â Also how much is sold online My Conclusions: Although Japan is in its infancy in coffee culture I think it would be an excellent idea to offer Hawaiian coffee because Hawaii is seen as paradise. This analysis is missing in the report as well as Japans culture. They didnââ¬â¢t mention the fact that Japans coffee shops serve as meeting rooms for businessmen to talk and possibly capture new clients. It is very important to understand origins of culture so as to understand how to promote new 2 3 products in the best way possible. They donââ¬â¢t quit mention much about how brief japan customers visit a coffee shop and how to manage this problem. They would have to draw in and make the products attractive. It should be mentioned when Starbucks entered into Japan how it changed the views of coffee shops in Japan. It brought back a sit-and-have-a-chat style of coffee consumption. Xyz Analysis Essay - 766 Words
FRASIER (A) ANALYSIS This case outlines the background of the negotiations between NBC (National Broadcasting Corporation) and Paramount for the extension of renegotiating the rights to the TV show, Frasier. While NBC wanted to pay under $5 million per episode in order to make a profit, Paramount seemed to be demanding $8 million per episode. This was a very big gap considering that there were 24 episodes per season and that Paramount wanted a three year term on the renegotiated contracted. The key parties in this case are NBC (represented by Mark Graboff, Scott Sassa and Jeff Zucker) and Paramount (represented by Kerry McCluggage and Gary Hart). What is NBCââ¬â¢s BATNA? NBCââ¬â¢s BATNA was to either steal a show from another network or beginâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Since Paramount could not negotiate for a price lower than $5 million with other networks, Viacom probably would not agree to a loss making deal unless it felt that Frasier would have a significant impact on other CBS shows (in other words, be a ââ¬Ëtent poleââ¬â¢) as well as on CBSââ¬â¢ internal power struggle. What is your best estimate of their respective reservation prices (ââ¬Å"walk away priceâ⬠)? Be sure and explain your answer. Donââ¬â¢t just give a number. The initial offer from Paramount was a 20% increase over what NBC was paying. This translates to roughly about $6 million per episode. However, NBCââ¬â¢s initial number was 5% less than what they were paying currently. This translates to roughly about $4.75 million per episode. Later, Paramount came down by $500,000 per episode ($5.5 million per episode). This still represented a sizable difference. Based on these facts, I would put Paramountââ¬â¢s reservation price being in the range of $5-$5.25 million per episode. This is because their BATNA is not very strong and the fact that NBC were the industry leaders in terms of license fees, especially for prime-time shows. Additionally, they called NBC to still work on the deal, which gives a strong hint that they were still open to negotiation. On the other hand, NBCââ¬â¢s reservation price would be in the range of $5.5-$5.75 million. Though NBCââ¬â¢s BATNA is also not very strong, they have other alternatives.
